The journey of ordering a handmade, bespoke guitar is a very personal and thoroughly rewarding experience, for you & I alike. It enables you to have your thoughts, visions & dreams realised in a unique, customised instrument that speaks to you on all of these levels.
The first item of discussion will be to ascertain your style of playing and what it is that you want acoustically in a guitar. It may be that there are a number of styles/sounds or it might be that there is only one. Ideally, you’d then have the opportunity to visit my studio workshop and to play the different models that I make to see what feels & sounds right to you.
We would then move on to things such as scale length, neck profile, nut width and string spacing.
Lastly, we would discuss the top, back & side tonewoods that would best bring all of these ideas to fruition & enhance them, to create your unique acoustic guitar for you to enjoy for many years to come.
How to order
To order a guitar from me, please get in touch to discuss your requirements. I will send you my price list which explains what is included in the base price, as well as all of the available options for you to choose from. If there is anything not listed there, please let me know. When this information is received, I can provide you with a full quote as well as the next available commission slot.
Deposit
I will require a 25% (non-refundable) deposit which will secure your place on the waiting list & also locks in the current price as discussed. This deposit covers the initial expenses such as materials & design work. The remainder of the balance is due on completion of the instrument, prior to shipping or collection.
Warranty
Each of my guitars comes with a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner against faulty materials & craftsmanship. This does not cover damage caused by extremes of temperature and/or humidity, normal wear & tear, unauthorised alterations, modifications or repairs, accidents or improper handling & misuse.
